its rune-carved surface. The glyphs that encircle its every inch are of a
language unknown to any creature that walks the surface world. Images of
sea-folk with hands upraised as if to hold the lightless crystal aloft have
been chiseled around its base. The crystal is stuck to the pedestal but is
easily tilted and turned to and fro. What purpose this device once had is
now lost and it appears to be utterly broken.
