  You are just inside the Runic Castle proper, standing at the beginning of
the central hallway.  This hallway runs north and west through the second
level of the castle, and is the main causeway for the Runic Knights in
training.  To the east you see a door leading to the Knight's barracks.  On
the southern wall is a plaque with writing on it.  Perhaps you should read
it?
