The constant shade created by the head of the fish has affected the life
in this area.  All around, the bones have taken on a greenish tint, covered
in light algae and moss.  Small pools in the sand are filled with standing
water.  The surface of the pools are occasionally broken by tiny ripples. 
The source of the rippling is not immediately apparent, it is almost as if
there is an unseen force causing the water to vibrate.  Off to the west, the
bone arches shimmer for a moment and appear not as the majestic, clean
arches they were but as decrepit, chipped bone with bits of flesh attached. 
Just as quickly, the air shimmers again and the ribs return to their
primitive elegance.
